Jeramy's Blessing

On December 7, 2008 Jeramy Michael Harman was blessed by David Armstrong. The blessing was perfect. He was blessed with so much. I appreciate the blessing my dad was able to give him.

Every time we go to the doctor there is some new and exciting thing wrong with Jeramy physcially. But with every prayer I make and blessing he gets it seems like those problems get better. He is getting so strong! He can hold his head up almost all the time with little to no help. He also is exceeding my expectations. I know that he is just dying to run and do so much! Jeramy's energy is unmatched. He just tires me out!

In the meantime mike and I have moved in with my parents for awhile. Things just got out of control with me and mike being out of work. we have both struggled for so long to find jobs. Mike has had a very hard time because the automotive market has just slumped. I have had a hard time and we just don't know why. I hope that it gets better for me. Mike found a great temp job finally. The day we decided to move in with my parents the temp agency called with a few month long job. He is working for a great company tearing down and rebuilding light rail trains for the new front runner in utah. Its been great he loves it... it gives him a new experience and something different. We are now taking life one day at a time. We have decided that the lord for one reason or another want us here. Its also nice getting the chance to push the restart button and see if we can get it right the next time around.

News about Jeramy

Well thought I would let everyone know what is new with my Jeramy. The jaundice is gone. He is doing very well now. We no longer have to see any blood suckers everyday and no more lights. So life is "normal" or at least as normal as it can be with a 1 week old. He is eating now too. We are thrilled maybe he can start gaining weight finally. He lost almost 10 ounces by the time we started him on the lights. He is the light of our lives and I am amazed everyday that the Lord has blessed us with such an amazing gift. I sometimes have to pinch myself it just doesn't seem real yet and I am not sure that it ever will.

In the mean time keep mike and I in your prayers. we have been blessed to somehow survive with us both out of work and a new baby. But, we have another month to go and are praying for more blessings. This time in our country is hard for everyone and we are no exception to that either. We are grateful for all the generosity of those who have helped us.

Thank you!

He's Here!!!

Well I am sorry it took so long to give everyone an update. Jeramy Michael Harman has now joined the outside world. My cute boy is here! He arrived Saturday October 25th at 10:39 am. We started inducing me on friday morning at 8:30am. Labor was very interesting and exhausting. After many hours of slow progress and finally no progress they restarted the progress from the beginning. Lucky for me my family is amazing. I had my hubby, mom, dad, best friend/sister, and sue (just like a mom) there either all night or most of the night. That is what made the difference for the whole 25 1/2 hours of long labor. Mike was pretty amazing and anxious. The nurse told everyone that it would be hours at a little before 10am. So dad, and sue left, annette left the night before at the wee hours. Mike went out to call his grandma. So it was mom and I on our own. At about 10am my doctor came in and said we were ready but still needed jeramy to turn over. So we turned me to my side and the doctor said he would be back in an hour. So there I was going to sit and wait. Well mom and I waited for about a minute or so and then the delivery process started. Mom said to breath through it all, I tried and said can't do it anymore. So she called the nurse... she decided we would do a few practice pushes. well after two sets of practices she saw hair and said no more pushing. She went to get the doctor and that was a long few minutes of waiting. She came back and said the doctor was coming and we could get started. Mike finally came in and rushed to hold my hand. Mom on one side and the nurse on the other we started delivery again. My doctor showed up and after 32 minutes of pushing all together we got our special delivery. Mike got to cut the ambillical cord.

Born October 25, 2008 at 10:39 am 7 pounds 5.3 ounces 20 inches long

Our hospital stay brought some fun and a lot good and sad moments. The first day jeramy wouldn't eat. The nurse suctioned his tummy 3 times. He had a lot of icky crap in there. Finally he started eating a little from me and a lot from a bottle.
Now after 4 days of life our bundle of joy is hanging in there. He has jaundice and is now on light therapy and daily blood tests. We are working very hard to get him well. We are stressed and tired but thrilled that he is here and such a beautiful baby.

Our Blessings

We have mixed feelings this week about our blessings. The doctor gave us very good news on friday. The baby and I are doing okay. He had said two weeks ago that he thought maybe a few more weeks and then I would be bringing home a bundle of fun earlier than my due date. That news made me sad in many ways and happy in many others. Now it will be another week until we do anything. Good news we are both hanging in there with the blood pressure and amniotic fluid amount. Sad part is we are ready for him to come home. I am ready to not be pregnant anymore and am ready for the due date roller coaster to be over. I am happy to hear that he has more time to bake in the oven and will have plenty of time to gain the cute baby fat he needs.

We had our baby shower yesterday given to us by the harman family. Mike and I are so grateful for the love and support of everyone who came and all the amazing gifts we recieved. We were both so overwhelmed by the love that we recieved. Since being married life has gotten very difficult, and just to add to it the lord has blessed us with an amazing miracle of Jeramy. We weren't supposed to have him and are so grateful and so unprepared. Since this blessing and journey started 37 weeks ago life has gotten harder and our trials have become overwhelming at times. But in the end what a blessing and a miracle after being told that it would take a long time and a lot of money if it even happened. In the end the Lord will provide, definately through family and friends support.

Thank You!

Ultrasound Day!

Well today was the first day of the last part of the pregnancy. We had what was said to be the last of the official ultrasounds. Jeramy is doing great! He is growing so fast, and is now in the 70th percentile for his gestational age. He is a big baby! Unfortunately, he is of course very cramped, and we are running far below normal on the amniotic fluid. My blood pressure is still up even with the medications. I now am doing non-stress tests twice a week. The doctor says we will deliver early, but hopefully not too early.

I am happy to report mike is loving his truck that replaced his old taurus. After the accident he found something else he can be happy with. Thank goodness he is as happy with it as he was with his taurus.

Catch Up

Well to start and to catch everyone up... We are the Harmans. We got married in August of 2007. So much has happened since that day. The most amazing blessing and miracle tops the list. We were blessed to find out in March that we have been blessed with a miracle child. Mike and I were not supposed to easily get pregnant and to be honest were okay with that. We wanted kids but not for a few years. So much has happened since that day. I am now on bed rest for high blood pressure, and mike got a terrific opportunity to work at Toyota downtown. We are now living in a small two bedroom apartment and trying to figure this whole thing out. So much has tested our marriage and friendship. Even though everyone thought we would not make it; well we have!
